He switched from scorer to passer in order to get more players like Diomansy Kamara and Mamadou Niang in the starting lineup. Plus he's a real patriot so I'm not worried about any of his antics when he's there. And Bouna Condoul plays for the "Colorado Rapido." :-) It has to be incredibly difficult to merge the styles of so many different leagues. But I'd guess that most African teams are in the same boat. But we're not as good as we were in 2002. everybody's older and the better players (except Niang) are not in top shape. Kinda like Cote d'Ivoire in 2006 with all their players in so-so shape at the beginning. But they reached the final so who knows. Yeah the diversity is striking.
